Great care and leadership.
Staff shows excellent care for residents
I had to spend 5 weeks here recently after a bad car accident. The nurses to the CNA’s are the kindest, most patient group of people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. OT and PT were kind and tried to make things fun….they all deserve a hand when I came to an older woman who couldn’t get out of bed or anything. Thank u for making a miserable.time decent and tolerable!!!😍😍

I’m in and out of long term care facilities all day. The team genuinely seems to care for their patients. They are open to what treatment is best and seem to go out of their way to make things happen. Hannah in particular coordinates many moving pieces even after the patient leaves the facility.

I visited this facility I didn’t have a good feeling at Mountain View Post Acute. The parking situation was horrendous. Even on the street I couldn’t park. I parked in the loading zone and went in to ask them where I could park, and they were like, “Oh, that’s fine right there.” So that was my first impression. I had an appointment, but I waited 20 to 25 minutes before somebody helped me. There was no receptionist at the desk. The lady that did the tour was super nice. However, the place was average. It wasn’t dirty, but it wasn’t clean either. I walked out of knowing that we wouldn’t even consider it. It felt more like a hospital and not a living space that was personal.
This place is absolutely horrible. My mom’s needs were neglected on many levels. She died there almost 2 weeks ago and I still haven’t had anyone reach out with condolences or answers. I’ve requested her medical records and am being stonewalled. Someone there began making up lies about my family and tried to hold my mom’s final funds because supposedly someone on my family told them not to release it to me. In 2023 they lost their phone service and she had not been able to get or make phone calls for over a year. She was not given a pneumonia shot and she died of pneumonia. Don’t put your loved ones here

I work in Healthcare, so when my 89-year-old father fell and couldn’t walk, I asked the rehab people I trusted to tell me where I should take him for help. They said that Mountain View Post Acute and their Head of Rehab, Jeff, were where they would send their family. The facility is not new, but it is super clean and well-maintained. The staff and leadership couldn’t have treated us better. The room was large, and we were welcome to be there any time and for as long as we wanted. My mom could stay a couple of nights with him, and they brought her a recliner to get some sleep. When I looked at the reviews, there were some negative ones, but the center was bought a year ago, and every review since then has been good. They got my dad back on his feet; he is home now. I would trust this place for rehab for anyone.
I am/was a resident of this facility You can change a name and change the owner but you can’t change the fact that this place is not exactly a place to be. Service from everyone is lacking, employees are rude, insensitive and don’t want to be here. I’m left to wait for as much as an hour for help! Mountain View Post formally Cheyenne Mountain.
I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident This place is run like hospice. The took terrible care of my mother. If you don’t have the staff to take care of your patients properly maybe you should not accept anymore patients. This place should be shut down.

I visited this facility Cheyenne Mountain Care and Rehabilitation Center was really bad. We walked up to the front desk and nobody was there. We stood there for about ten minutes and nobody came. One of the residents asked us if there was something they could help us with, and we said we were looking for a tour. She told us to go down the nurses’ station. We went there and there was nobody there either. On the way to the nurses’ station we passed three employees, and nobody said hello. We stood at the nurses’ station for a little bit, but there was nobody there, and the residents weren’t talking to each other. We walked up one of the halls to the dining room and still nobody spoke to us. There was cigarette smoke smell in one of the rooms and the smell of urine in the halls, so I said to my daughter, “Let’s just go.” The rooms were OK, but were more hospital-like. I wasn’t impressed. The lack of security just blew my mind.

I am/was a resident of this facility I was there for rehab. worse experience ever, no pain medication until the next day only excuses from staff, rude staff didn’t care I was in pain.
I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident My sister was a short term patient here, I sent her a card and forgot to put her name on the envelope. I spoke with the person that separates the mail to watch to give this to her on arrival. He was very accomodating but my sister was discharges before the card arrived, which had some cash in it. I have received the card back with a note stating they couldn’t locate her. The card had been opened, the cash still in tack. I cannot say enough about the honesty of the staff member who handled this. Thank you.
I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident This place is horrible. My mother fell not only once but multiple times and should have had medical attention and they didn’t do a thing. They are understaffed. They do NOT respond to any requests you have. They have a very high turnover date.
I am a friend or relative of resident Very sad! Very dissatisfied!!! My dad had to stay for a few weeks after surgery; facility and staff soooo unorganized; lacked communication; staff too loud; not clean facility; under staffed; My dad is doing well, I would not recommend the facility. I would have to worry about him 24/7 and the care he was receiving, not worth it. Please visit facility at different hours, very dissapointed!
I am a friend or relative of resident From the outside things seemed to be okay (nice large hallways, own private room), however when it comes to quality care, it seems as though things were not as great as it seemed. I had my father stay here Dec 2014. He was a skilled dialysis patient who underwent 3 strokes, and was on coumadin after a surgery. If you know anyone on coumadin, you know that you have to keep up-to date with the dosage. When regulating the dosages, communication would often slip from the doctors to the nursing home, and at times he was at high risk of bleeding >5 INR, for those who understand labs. I often had to receive phone calls from the dialysis nurses to ensure they were giving the right dosage at the nursing home. In January 2015, my dad had a hemorrhagic stroke of which he had to be sent by flight for life to Denver. There was no reports from the nursing home of him falling (he is a high fall risk patient) and the doctors said it looked like a trauma injury (either from a fall or from a hit). My family suspected that a injury report was not filed from the nursing home, and from experience I know fall reports count against a facility. We do give props to the nurse who noticed him to be a “little off” but the events seem to be a bit suspicious. My dad lost his sight, was intubated in the ICU, and is now wheel bound after this event. Other complaints from this facility include failure to get “permission” to leave the nursing home from the doctor. Before these sequence of events happened, we asked for permission to take my dad home 2 weeks prior for a family get-together. the doctor caring for my dad never got the notice from the nurses, and so did not approve his leave when was on skilled nursing. Not only that, but the failed to give permission to put my dad on anti-depressants (I learned they were suppose to have consent first by another facility of which I actually had to sign for consent). When I questioned the nurses about dad getting these antidepressants, this “la-de-dah” look came from the nurse taking care of him. There’s a lot of things to look into when it comes to a nursing home and quality care should be priority. Please don’t get distracted by the great big rooms, or the fact they have TV, my dad sustained quite a bit from the lack of communication, lack of prioritizing the importance of medications, and lack of supplying adequate needs for him. I do give props for the administrative team that handle medicaid, they were immense help when trying to get my dad aide for his stay. If I had to rate them, i’d give them a 5, but for care from the facility a 1.
